Staying Fit and Running a Business – Does Exercise Help?

Running your own business as well as being an employee in the work place can be challenging as you know there is a great deal to juggle with especially if you are overloaded with work.

To improve your work/life/balance exercise can really help whether it’s just going for a walk, taking a break from your desk, standing up and moving around or going for a workout it can really clear your mind set.  It can give you a more positive approach to work, especially if you are stuck for ideas or just generally lacking in motivation.

I found joining a Nordic walking group with Stealth Health is a great way to improve your fitness, as well as network with people it also gives you motivation especially when you work from home, another great thing about walking is that if you work in a team you can all go out and it can really help you bounce ideas off each other and perhaps even come up with a strategy or plan for your next project, it can give you innovation, for a group it can be great team building. A walk in the countryside and having fresh air is good for your general health and wellbeing, it can completely help you to de-stress. But whether you do walking, running, swimming or any form of fitness it all helps improve your work/life/balance.

It’s been tough this year hasn’t it? We’ve all tried to stay fit and healthy, but it’s not been easy.  Not sure about you, but I can conclude that fresh air and exercise has helped me keep on top of things, as lockdown with young children and running my business has had its challenges!
