I have tried so many different versions for recording video so far using my mobile seems to work well, or using my laptop but make sure you adjust the settings.
On your mobile phone, it all depends on whether you use an IOS or Android phone which apps you use.
For LinkedIn users, native video is directly uploaded to the platform and also helps the algorithms! It is the best way for businesses to gain an audience on the platform.
Captions are great for video as people often look at a video with the sound off particularly if they are in an office, or on public transport or surrounded by lots of noise!
✔ I tend to use Rev.com as it’s only a few dollars and the captions get sent to you very quickly, it is also done by humans, so the text is more correct and only needs a small amount of editing.
✔ Add your native video to LinkedIn, then add an srt.file which will attach the captions!
✔ Kapwing is quite good where you can add a banner, logo but the captions can be a bit fiddly, they are also automated so you need to edit it quite a bit and it can be time-consuming.
✔Autocaps can also be added to your mobile phone on android but again it is fiddly and time-consuming!
✔ Camtasia which is great for video content
I also suggest looking at your lighting when recording, if you are in a dark room try and get the light as close to your phone or laptop to brighten the video up. My problem is that I wear glasses so you can get a reflection I often have to move the light away from my glasses!!
👀 Backdrop/Different locations
Some people use a backdrop showing a different colour, wallpaper, scenery on their wall. Others choose to present in different locations whether it is outside a different room or place they are visiting.
Keep looking at the camera rather than look down or reading a script it all helps with showing how confident you are behind the camera!
👀 Time Limit
The time to record is anything from 3 seconds to no longer than 10 minutes, according to the stats 5% viewers stop watching after 1 minute and 60% after 2 minutes.
👀 The top 3 most popular videos
Testimonials are very popular and are the most engaging on LinkedIn, tutorials are engaging as well as demonstrations.
I hope some of these video content marketing tips have helped as video content is so important for a small business it also helps in getting your post to be more authentic on Social Media.
